In reply to Liz McLean. Apologies for late reply Liz. I couldn't say for sure because I've never tried assembling sweet bread the night before. But if you want to try I would assemble it the night before and refrigerate before the second rise. Then in the morning bring to room temperature for one hour and bake. Hope this helps.

The star Christmas bread is a stunner. I intend to try it with almond paste and maybe some jam as a filling.
